Our Comprehensive Range of Services

We have processed over 3000 GB of data annually for the past 10 years as part of our E-Discovery services. Our Law Prediscovery support services are designed to ensure data is accurately and efficiently prepared for further legal review.

1. Data Loading & Ingestion

Loading/Ingestion: Importing data into the Law system.
After Load Check: Confirm settings and resolve any processing issues (e.g., Incomplete Errors, Commit Errors, Native Link Missing).

2. Data Processing & Cleanup

Deduplication: Removing duplicate files to ensure data integrity.
Filtering: Filter documents by extension type or date as per client requirements (e.g., Doc extension or Date filter).
Text Extraction: Attempt to extract text from files that failed to extract during ingestion (excluding Adobe and Image files).

3. File Conversion & Optimization

TIFFing: Convert native files to TIFF format in batch as per client specifications.
TIFF Errors: Identify and resolve TIFF conversion errors in batches or manually, as needed.
Page Update: Adjust page sizes for large or unusual file formats.

4. Quality Control

Smart_QC: Extensive quality checks for converted files to ensure they meet standards.
OCR (Optical Character Recognition):
- Create text files for native files where text extraction failed.
- Generate searchable PDFs for all records if requested.

5. Document Identification & Customization

Numbering: Assign a unique identifier to each document as per client requirements.
Custom Field Update: Update custom fields in documents as specified by the client.
Stamping: Apply client-specific stamps (e.g., confidentiality marks) to documents.

6. Data Export & Delivery

Export Formats: Provide outputs in the following formats based on client needs:

Searchable PDFs, Non-Searchable PDFs

7. Final Check for Output

Perform extensive QA/QC on the generated outputs to ensure accuracy.

Mangalam utilizes two key processing tools—eCapture Controller and eCapture QC—to streamline and ensure the accuracy of the eCapture process. Our support services include both processing and quality control, tailored to client specifications.

1. eCapture Controller

The eCapture Controller is used for processing data according to the client’s specific requirements. The support services provided include:

Discovery Job Inventory: Cataloging and organizing discovery jobs to begin the processing workflow.
Metadata Extraction & Indexing: Extracting essential metadata and indexing it for easier retrieval.
Data Extraction Job:
- Performing OCR (Optical Character Recognition) on scanned images.
- Extracting detailed metadata.
- Handling Image OCR processing, de-duplication, de-nesting, and performing keyword searches.
Data Processing Job:
- Processing data to convert records into required formats.
- Imaging all records and extracting text via OCR to ensure full searchability.
Export: Outputting data in formats specified by the client, ready for further review or analysis.

2. eCapture QC

The eCapture QC tool is used for quality control, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the processing tasks. The support services include:

Data Extract Job QC: Reviewing and correcting errors in the Data Extraction job to ensure all metadata is properly extracted.  
Process Job QC: Identifying and rectifying any issues within the Data Processing job to ensure that all records are correctly imaged and OCR text is accurate.
